NTA Declares NEET UG Re-Test Results Amid Score Discrepancies and AI-Generated OMR Claims

The National Testing Agency declared the NEET UG re-test results with over 11.21 lakh candidates qualifying for undergraduate medical and dental admissions across India, yet fresh controversies quickly surfaced regarding evaluation accuracy. Uttar Pradesh registered the highest number of successful candidates at over 1.7 lakh, but several students from Maharashtra’s Beed district came forward alleging severe discrepancies between their expected scores calculated using the official answer key and the marks reflected on their final scorecards. Multiple families reported dramatic score drops, with individual candidates expecting over 500 to 700 marks receiving under 100 marks, sparking widespread outrage and threats of legal action. Pushing back against the allegations, the NTA publicly flagged several circulated OMR sheets as fake and AI-generated, warning that altered documents with modified ink colors, unnatural thumb impressions, and high-resolution digital manipulation were being used to spread misinformation online. Forensic examinations conducted by the testing agency revealed that key viral complaints involved fabricated answer sheets that did not match official database records. Despite the agency’s clarification, anxious parents and student unions have demanded an independent scrutiny process to verify answer key evaluations and ensure absolute fairness for all medical aspirants.
