Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, today to officially inaugurate the Ganga Expressway, marking a massive leap for India’s infrastructure and connectivity. This project, which has been one of the most ambitious expressway developments in Northern India, aims to significantly reduce travel time between the eastern and western regions of the state. During the inauguration ceremony, the Prime Minister highlighted how such modern “Gati” (speed) projects are essential for economic growth and the transformation of rural landscapes into industrial hubs. The expressway is expected to spur local businesses by providing faster access to major markets and reducing logistical costs for farmers in the region. PM Modi emphasized that this project is a testament to the “Double Engine” government’s commitment to delivering world-class infrastructure within record timelines. Following the inauguration, the Prime Minister is also expected to address a large public gathering, focusing on the future roadmap for regional development and employment generation. This visit marks the second day of his two-day tour of Uttar Pradesh, further cementing the state’s strategic importance in the national development agenda.
